Service Responses to the Co-victimisation of Mother and Child: Missed Opportunities in the Prevention of Domestic Violence: Experiences from South Africa

This study uses qualitative methods to explore services, which address the co-victimization of mothers and children in abusive households in rural, peri-urban and urban settings in two provinces within South Africa. The main aim of the study is to explore how existing services to co-victims address the risk factors for future victimization, as well as to determine the gaps and challenges to effective service delivery to child victims of domestic violence.
