Mission Statement

C.R.E.S.O. envisions a transformed, peaceful and healthy society able to realize its basic rights, meet its needs and demand for services to improve its livelihood. The mission of C.R.E.S.O. is to empower and promote a transformation process among community (youth children and women) in making positive changes in behaviour, beliefs and attitudes that have been ruined because of negative situations- in order to attain everlasting peace and economic development. We value integrity, accountability, transparency, respect and gender equality.

The long-term objectives of C.R.E.S.O., therefore, are: • To establish community setups where members are able to access social and economic services, social justice and better healthcare and education through their initiative, and establishment of psycho-social and youth counselling, guidance and referral centres to promote positive response to HIV/AIDS and Sexual and Gender Based Violence(S.G.B.V.).

The short-term objectives are: 1. To mobilize the poor communities and engage them positively in viable economic activities; 2. To promote better health practices and reduce prevalence of HIV/AIDS infection among the community; 3. To promote the social welfare of orphans and vulnerable children and social inclusion of persons with disability; 4. Provision of community health support to the vulnerable groups of people (children, youth and women) and victims of violence, torture human rights abuse & violation, Gender-based violence (GBV), and sexual abuse and exploitation; 5. Promote alternative education, peace building, advocacy, research and documentation; 6. Promote community positive response towards human rights and civic education.
