Since 1991, the Center for Women’s Global Leadership has coordinated the 16 Days of Activism against Gender- Based Violence Campaign from the 25th of November to the 10th of December. Throughout the years, the campaign has become wide-spread, reaching countless corners of the world. The GBV Prevention Network members have participated in this movement since 2004, reaching the regions of Horn, East, and South Africa, as well as beyond. This year’s global campaign will focus on ending violence against women (VAW) in the world of work, continuing to challenge powerful institutions. In collaboration with the global campaign, the GBV Prevention Network will focus on raising awareness on how sexual harassment occurs within the community, schools, and workplace.
