2017 Regional 16 Days of Activism Campaign

16 Days: We are counting down to the 2017 16 days of activism campaign this month and are happy to share with you the Action and Advocacy Kit for 2017. In line with the global campaign, the regional campaign will continue to address girl’s education under the theme Every girl counts! What action are you taking to keep girls in School? The campaign focuses on retention of girls in school and supporting girls to complete higher level of education.

The campaign aims at inspiring everyone to take action towards keeping girls in school. It calls on parents, community leaders, school administration, policy makers etc. to support individual girls as well as create an environment for girls to remain in school until they complete their education.

This year, over 230 organizations across 19 countries in Africa and beyond will hold campaigns calling on community members and leaders to take action and keep girls in school. The campaign kit has been produced in 4 languages: English, French, Arabic and Swahili.  We would like to share soft copies of the materials in the kit. The materials are organized in folders with different languages. Check out the additional bandana folder that contains the soft copy of the bandana and a zipped video demo on how you could use the bandana.  Download the e-materials here: http://bit.ly/2zbYAMx. We encourage you to participate in the campaign, check out the suggest ideas in the Activity guide on how you can get involved.

Tell us about your activism via email or during the social media campaign @GBVnet or Facebook – GBV Prevention Network.

Happy Campaigning! We look forward to receiving your photos in action 🙂
